Abaca Paper Fibers, Cotton Linter Fibers, Tracing Paper, Nori Paste, Soft Pastel, Alcohol Ink, and Acrylic paint
Croissain't comes from an exploration of the intricate intersection of handmade paper and culinary art, resulting in a set of different stages of a croissant, entirely made out of handmade paper. I am fascinated with the uncanny resemblance between the texture of paper pulp, layering of paper, and the pliable nature and layers of dough. My goal was to challenge the boundaries of traditional art mediums and seeing how much of the croissant making process I can replicate. Through this project, I hope to blue the lines between traditional art forms and the everyday, inviting the viewers to experience a gastronomic delight through paper making.
